The International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE) is the global venue for exchange of information and building relationships, in order to grow a world-wide marine renewable energy industry. ICOE was first established in 2006 and is now held every two years. It has grown to almost 1000 participants from almost 40 countries, had a significant tradeshow in 2012, and is now recognized as the world’s pre-eminent industry-development event.
The goal of the conference and exhibition is to advance industry development by sharing recent experiences from development, demonstration and technology transfer efforts. It aims to accelerate development by stimulating collaboration between companies, researchers and development centres. It also targets engagement of operators with experience in related marine and power industry sectors.
The TROPOS Project was represented by TROPOS Coordinator, Dr. Joaquín Hernández Brito, who presented the Integration of Marine Renewable Energies in Multiuse Offshore Platforms.
