This report presents the Deliverable 6.5 – Comparative statement/assessment for selected deployment locations including comparison to non-multiuse platforms. Deliverable 6.5 includes the environmental and socio-economic statement for four different TROPOS scenarios, provides comparison of these deployments to non-multiuse platforms and develops a cumulative impact assessment approach for the Green & Blue scenario in Crete.

This report presents the Deliverable 6.6 - A framework for describing the social impact with concrete examples that apply for Taiwan, a joint deliverable between EU FR7 TROPOS and EU FR7 MERMAID. The deliverable studies the social impacts of the Green & Blue concept in Taiwan by using the framework developed in the project. Social acceptance, environmental effects and the total economic benefit are investigated for the concept. Two surveys are conducted in the Liuqiu Island (Taiwan) to study the social acceptance of local residents and tourists, and to study the willingness to pay (WTP) of residents and tourists for different types of platform design with different environmental impacts respectively.

This report presents the Deliverable 4.3: “Complete Design of Specification of 3 reference TROPOS systems”. The document introduces the final design of the three ICS (Interdisciplinary Cohesion Subcommittee) concepts:
- Leisure Island.
- Green and Blue.
- Sustainable Service Hub.
In this deliverable the general description, new equipment, planes, naval architecture, steel weight and the simulations are explained.

D4.4.- Third Party Validation Report for 3 reference TROPOS Systems

In the present deliverable, Bureau Veritas has developed a validation methodology dedicated to Multi-Use Offshore Platforms (MUOP) to support the validation process performed by a certification body. The methodology is generic enough to address any of the three MUOP systems proposed in the TROPOS project and other possible concepts. The proposed methodology combines the use of existing standards from related sectors such as shipping, offshore oil & gas, wind energy, aquaculture, etc. with a risk-based approach for the most innovative and unknown parts of the MUOP. This methodology is mainly intended for project owners, certification bodies, national authorities, designers and manufacturers, but also insurers, bankers, investors and others.

D4.5.- Aquaculture Pilot Scale Report

This report presents the Deliverable 4.5 – Aquaculture Pilot Scale Report. The objective was a demonstration of a pilot scale bioreactor for phytoplankton production installed and operated together with a fish farm of netpen cages in the Mediterranean. This demonstration represents a first approach for the synergies of combining installations for fish and algae and an early stage for the development of an offshore bioreactor. All trials were performed in the pilot scale cage facility of the Institute of Aquaculture, HCMR, located at North-West Crete in Souda Bay, a typical Mediterranean site.
